What is Cataphorese process?


The KTL installation consists of a series of baths in which the surfaces to be painted are degreased, 

stained and zinc-coated phosphated. The last bath is filled with a water-based cataphoresis paint. 

There are several anode cells in the bath (plus pole) and the product to be painted 

(cathode = minus pole). With the paint particles become with the aid of a direct current voltage

drawn to the product and a surface is formed on the surface lacquer layer. This layer of lacquer 

continues to grow until one closes has formed an insulating layer. Hard to reach spots are painted 

in this way. The chassis becomes then dried in a muffle oven at 180 ° – 200 ° C the lacquer layer 

curing. KTL offers in combination with zinc phosphating of the chassis has the highest corrosion
