The use of LED bulbs to replace halogen bulbs means that you get much more powerful and uniform lighting, while considerably reducing current consumption. The alternator or dynamo, the beams and the controls on your ‘OLD’ car will be preserved.
As a reminder, the luminous power of an LED is measured in LUMEN (lm), and consumption in Amperes.
Full lighting of an original 2cv or DYANE requires an average consumption of 12 amperes, for a very low lighting result. The efficiency of filament bulbs is poor, and your safety suffers as a result. The consumption of all the LED bulbs on the same vehicle will be a maximum of 5 amps, generating a luminosity equivalent to that of a modern vehicle.
The lifespan of LED bulbs, estimated at between 20 & 30,000 h, is much longer than that of traditional bulbs (2 to 3,000 h).
Choosing to fit your vehicle with LED lighting is not just a question of fashion, it's above all a question of safety and visual comfort on the road. Preserving the vehicle's mechanical components is also a decisive argument in favour of switching to LED.
